Editing Group Details

MCRMHavenEditGroupDetails

Many of the Attributes we assign to a Client need to be consistent to ensure searching is most accurate. To aid this you can determine the actual values shown in most Client pop-up lists through the Options-Edit Group details window. Each pop-up choice is separated by a carriage return.

  • Click the Options button and choose Edit Group details. A window should appear showing one group and its settings.
  • If you are members of more than one Group, choose the Group that you want to change. Each group can have an entirely different set of custom values.
  • If you want to replace the settings with a set of sample data included, click the Samples button.
  • Click Update to save the changes.

Options
You do not need to keep the existing sample data. Feel free to delete any details you want and remove the rest.
If is advisable to copy and paste your final attributes into a word-processing document for safe-keeping. This is in case someone accidentally presses the Samples button then Update, wiping your tailored Attributes.
It is recommended that the first line of all Attributes (except Custom Headers) be left blank so that new Clients can have a null value until assigned.
You can add values to each item at any time or change their order, but it is advised not to remove or rename values in case existing Clients have those chosen settings. If you must rename an item it is advised that you perform a search, Mark those Clients and set the new attribute after any value change.
There is no custom item for Salutation, No-Contact types or Country. These pop up value are hard coded. Contact HMS if you would like a value added.
